Biodiversity Workshop – Hybrid Event at Royal Holloway 2023

In the lead-up to mandatory BNG, Surrey Wildlife Trust and Surrey Nature Partnership are teaming up to provide some much-needed clarity for LPAs and land agents. Dr Prue Addison – Conservation Strategy Director of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust – will be giving an overview of what we know about BNG so far and sharing insights on the first habitat banks created by the Trust. Mike Waite has drawn on over 40 years of ecological advisory expertise to present a guidance document for LPAs on behalf of Surrey Nature Partnership which he will present in the second half of the workshop. This is a chance for interested parties to come together and make informed decisions on how BNG will work in Surrey in lieu of Defra guidance.
