Following the launch of the Surrey Nature Partnership Surrey Important Grasslands Inventory 1.0 – a fully updated, county‑wide mapping of 460 priority grassland sites, we are pleased to announce some key updates:

Join us for the launch of the Surrey Important Grassland Inventory, a new, evidence‑based resource supporting better planning, ecological appraisal and habitat protection across Surrey.

New Geographical Information System (GIS) Shapefiles released

Updated Surrey Important Grassland Inventory (SIGI v1.0) GIS layers are now available, showing boundaries and summary data for all 460 inventory sites.

  • View online via the ESRI Map Viewer
  • Access via WFS in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
  • Offline copies (including MapInfo) available on request under licence
